From 2 to 4 January, the first presidential election of 2021 took place. Due to COVID-19 situation worsening in Czech Republic, Gymnasium State’s only neighbour, the physical ballot box was again closed and online forms stayed only available means of voting.
In the first round, Daniel Švíka (ORS) gained two votes, however as he served as President in the past year, he only assumed the post of Premier. Six more people also received one vote, and four of them were eligible for the second round.
The second round saw large decrease in turnout, with only five voters casting their votes. Three of the votes were received by Jakub Svatek (independent), and Adam Pivetz and Stanislav Mičke (both ORS) only received one vote each.
